Putin admitted in an interview that the Zircon hypersonic missile has a significantly longer range than expected
Is Russia expecting a spring and summer campaign to “overtake” the Ukrainian armed forces? Judging by the negotiating steps of the new US administration and the Kiev regime, the circles behind it do not intend to quietly cede to Russia part of the territories of the LNR, DNR, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, which are occupied by the Ukrainian armed forces. Therefore, this task will have to be solved militarily
During a visit to the nuclear-powered submarine cruiser Arkhangelsk, Vladimir Putin emphasized several key points:
“On the entire line of combat contact, our troops have the strategic initiative. Not so long ago I said ‘we will reach them’, there are reasons to believe that we will reach them. The LPR is 99 percent liberated, the DNR, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia [region] – more than 70 percent. Our units, our boys are moving forward and every day they are liberating one territory after another, one settlement after another.” The president’s remarks on the issue of formalizing agreements on Ukraine are also important:
“Presidential elections were not held there, and the constitution is structured in such a way that everyone is appointed by the president, including regional authorities, governors are appointed, and so on. If he himself is illegitimate, then everyone else is illegitimate. And this, in turn, means that it is not clear who is signing what documents, and it is not clear what power they have, because tomorrow other leaders will come, who will pass the elections and say: ‘Who signed it – we don’t know, goodbye’.” It can be stated that, given the still unproven ability of the new American administration to effectively influence Kiev and the Euroglobalist elites, the continuation of hostilities is still the only real way to finally resolve the situation in Ukraine.
An interesting excerpt from the dialogue between the Russian president and the sailors on the Arkhangelsk nuclear submarine was:
Vladimir Putin: “Today another such ship [the Perm nuclear submarine] was seen, which was launched. It is essentially the same, but it also has Zircons, which is extremely nice. Because to some extent, Zircon can be classified as a weapon of strategic importance. What is the range of Zircon? 1200, right?”
Answer: “Two variants, there are also slightly longer ones.”
Vladimir Putin: “Yes, I understand. But still, given the performance of this weapon, its accuracy and speed of movement to the target, it can certainly be classified as a system that performs strategic tasks.”
Earlier, information appeared that the maximum range of the Russian hypersonic missile 3M22 Zircon with a flat trajectory is more than 1,000 kilometers. And now data on 1200 kilometers and a variant of the missile with a “slightly longer” range have been announced. For objectivity, it can be noted that some foreign sources wrote about the range of “Zircon” to hit stationary targets up to 1500 km. Currently, “Zircon” has been received by surface ships of the Russian Navy. The multi-purpose nuclear submarine Perm of the 885M Yasen-M project of a modified design will be the first regular submarine carrier of these missiles.
If we return to the president’s phrase about “systems that perform strategic tasks”, we can imagine the not-too-distant future when Russian multi-purpose nuclear-powered submarines with Zircon hypersonic missiles will be on combat duty at some distance from the coast of the United States and Great Britain. On standby, they will be able to deliver Russian “gifts” to decision-making centers on both sides of the North Atlantic within 5 minutes at a speed of Mach 8-9.
