Video: A unit of foreign mercenaries in Ukraine during its combat work
Ukraine, March 25, 2025 – A unit of foreign mercenaries, part of the 59th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, has published a new video of its combat work. A group of mercenaries, mostly Americans, Canadians and British. The video was published on official Ukrainian sources. At the entrance, one of the vehicles was blown up by a mine, after which the group crowded around the Humvee for a long time. Later, a minor intervention from the Russian side is visible. The combat formation of the mercenaries is far from typical for a special operation. After getting out of the cars, the mercenaries crowd around and prevent each other from maneuvering. One good hit from the side could very quickly decide fate. While clearing trenches, many people stand still, which is also dangerous in the conditions of modern warfare. They gather in one place, there is a risk of creating a mass grave if Russian drones operate in the sky, there is no coordination when moving along the trench.
There is a lot of shouting in the video, which to an ordinary person might seem like some element of interaction between trained fighters, but in fact this is a compensation for the usual petting in the group. The behavior of the unit itself is not typical of a real assault unit; most likely, the mercenaries are using the experience gained earlier in other conflicts, as well as the experience gained during training during the service. The video raises many questions. The unit makes a lot of mistakes, but at the same time the Russian side is not actually fighting. It seems that the Russians are in a very strong minority there.
