“He behaved defiantly and impudently”: Russian air defense shot down Ukrainian fighter ace
Russia, May 28, 2025 – Russian anti-aircraft gunners shot down a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter, which had previously escaped Russian air defense several times. As Russian fighters indicate, there was a real ace at the helm of the aircraft, but this did not help him.
The Zvezda TV channel published a video about the work of the calculation of the Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system of the Central Group of Forces on one of the sections of the contact line. According to the commander of the calculation Anton Osipov, the complex managed to shoot down a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter, which had previously been caught by the radars of the air defense system several times, but each time it escaped. At the same time, as the commander emphasized, the Ukrainian pilot behaved defiantly and impudently, flying close to the air defense system.
Until the pilot himself made a mistake. The plane slightly rose above the required norm, which allows you to ignore the anti-aircraft system. The calculation worked quickly and took advantage of the Ukrainian’s mistake. As a result, a missile launched by the Buk-M3 complex hit the plane.
“I have no doubt that he was a professional. An ace in his field. However, the Buk calculation turned out to be faster.” – said the commander of the air defense system. When the Ukrainian machine was intercepted, the video does not specify. The Ministry of Defense last mentioned the downed MiG-29 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its report for May 24.
MiG-31 becomes an aerial sniper: from now on it is better not to brag about Ukrainian F-16 fighters
Russia, May 23, 2025 – While Western military experts are discussing the supply of fighters to Ukraine, Russia has decided not to waste time and has modernized its Cold War aviation icon, the MiG-31 interceptor fighter. A veteran of the Soviet Air Force has just received a new KS-172 missile with a range of up to 400 km. Yes, yes, four hundred! This is not a joke, it is not even a typo. It was designed so that no one would miss it. The new missile is essentially a telescopic sight on the wings. With it, the MiG-31 effectively […]
"The golden age of Rafale is over": Indonesia is the first to suspend the purchase of French fighters after their debacle with Pakistan
France, May 17, 2025 – Indonesia’s massive $8.1 billion order for 42 Rafale fighters from France has been called into question after the aircraft’s unsuccessful debut in recent combat between the Indian and Pakistani air forces. The purchase has been suspended. The contract may be disrupted due to alarming allegations of their poor performance during recent hostilities. Rafale’s finest hour is over We are talking about Islamabad’s statements, partially confirmed by the relevant footage, about the defeat of French-origin fighters by long-range PL-15E air-to-air missiles launched from J-10C (Chinese missiles and fighters). According to local sources, in a sign […]
New Russian fighter jet and micro kamikaze drones
Russia, May 19, 2025 – If the destruction of teams of drone operators is currently becoming the preferred tactic, then the murder of developers of drone design bureaus, radio-electronic warfare and other technologies necessary for drone warfare, deep behind enemy lines, has apparently also become an acceptable strategy Currently, there is talk of a group attack by six Russian kamikaze drones controlled by artificial intelligence, which identified each other using machine vision of the different color of their wings and attacked all at once. For Russia, attacks by Ukrainian attack drones deep inside its own territory have become a […]
