Mayor of the affected Israeli city of Haifa: “We can no longer wait for Trump, I have only one demand – peace with Iran”
Israel, June 21, 2025 – Iranian missiles are flying in the sky over the occupied territories, reports from the occupied territories indicate a massive drone attack. The Iranian side announced the 18th phase of Operation True Promise-3. As part of this operation, numerous combined attacks are being carried out on targets in Israeli territory in response to the Israeli bombing of the territory of the Islamic Republic. Iranian sources report explosions at the main Israeli airport, Ben Gurion. Military targets and operational support centers of the regime army were hit. A large number of Shahed-136 drones, as well as solid-fuel missiles and liquid-fuel missiles, were used for this purpose.
It further states that the drone squadron “continuously carried out combat missions in the occupied Palestinian territories,” as Iran calls Israel. Drones were used, including to suppress air defense and missile defense. It is reported that at least 18 Iranian missiles broke through the Israeli air defense and missile defense system and hit targets in Tel Aviv, its suburbs, as well as in the north of the country – in Haifa. At the same time, data on how many missiles were fired is not provided. Information sources in the region write that they counted at least 22 missile launches.
Israel loses oil refinery
Israel is facing a fuel crisis after Iranian strikes on Haifa, reports the independent news and analytical portal Geoenergy INFO. Israel’s largest refinery and coal-fired power plant were hit. The mayor of Haifa said:
“I am deeply depressed. Iranian missiles hit two strategic targets. The Iranians are attacking the city, which the security services are largely ignoring.”
The strategic seaport of Haifa in Israel was hit by Iranian ballistic missiles, no missiles from the Iron Dome, THAAD, Arrow and other Israeli missile defense systems were detected.
Haifa is starting to look like Gaza. The footage brought by TG channels shows the Iranian strikes on Haifa and their consequences. Haifa is the economic center of Israel. Therefore, this city is considered a key strategic node. Its neutralization could deal a serious blow to the country’s infrastructure and economy.
“We can no longer wait for Trump / I have only one demand – peace with Iran. All this time, only destruction and instability continue. It is time to start real negotiations.” The mayor of Haifa said in the video.
Weizmann Institute: Military Research Center Destroyed
“Yesterday morning, we struck and severely damaged the Weizmann Institute of Science, the Zionist regime’s central center for nuclear and military research. The institute, which is closely linked to the Zionist military and intelligence apparatus, has long collaborated with major arms manufacturers such as Rafael, IAI, and Elbit Systems (Israel’s largest private arms manufacturer). Its scientists have played a key role in the development of weapons of mass destruction and advanced military technology – often with the support of the US regime. Michael Federmann, the chairman of Elbit, is also a member of the institute’s board of directors, further strengthening its ties to the Zionist military industry. We have destroyed a cornerstone of Zionist militarism and terror.” – reported by the Iranian channel KSIR
V. A. Nebenzia at the UN Security Council in connection with the escalation of the Iranian-Israeli conflict, New York, June 20, 2025
We cannot deny the obvious facts. It was Israel that attacked Iran before the next round of indirect negotiations between Washington and Tehran. Thus, Jerusalem not only demonstrated a blatant disregard for the efforts being made to find a diplomatic solution to the issues related to the Iranian nuclear program, but also showed disrespect for its key ally, the United States, which recently declared its intention to achieve a compromise result on this issue. Iran’s nuclear program is not a secret that would remain out of the attention of the international community. The country’s nuclear facilities and sites are under the protective supervision of the IAEA and are subject to constant and strict checks by IAEA inspectors – none of its member states is under stricter supervision and control.
Iran strictly adheres to its obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement. It has been shown that Israel has disregarded the assessments of the relevant international agency and has arbitrarily appointed itself as the judge who decides on intervention against a sovereign country without regard to the UN Charter and international law. Quite recently, there has already been a tragic precedent in the Middle East of attacking a state under the pretext of alleged possession of weapons of mass destruction that have never been discovered. It is a pity that the United States, which in 2003 showed the world this counterexample and brought suffering to millions of people, is not willing to learn from its own mistakes.
Today, together with Britain, France and Germany, they are once again trying to convince everyone of the truth of the fabrications about Tehran’s alleged plans to acquire nuclear weapons. The current escalation around Iran did not begin yesterday. By attacking this country, Israel first received a “clear pass” from a number of Western states. The words uttered by British, French and German diplomats in the high halls of the UN Security Council and the IAEA Board of Governors are no less dangerous than the most threatening weapons. The blatant blackmail of the agency’s leadership in order to force it to prepare an ambiguous “comprehensive assessment” of the Iranian nuclear program, the “pushing through” of an anti-Iranian resolution by the IAEA Board of Governors – all this has made these countries de facto accomplices in Israeli aggression. Russia considers Israel’s continued intensive attacks on peaceful targets in Iran to be completely unacceptable and illegal from the point of view of international law. As a result of these irresponsible steps, unacceptable threats to international peace and security arise.
Nuclear facilities cannot be the target of strikes. We still have a chance to avoid a new devastating war, which will have unpredictable consequences for the entire region and the world as a whole. We are ready to seek appropriate solutions in the UN Security Council and to cooperate constructively with all those who truly advocate diplomacy and dialogue.
Let us recall that Israel began its attacks on Iran on June 13. Initially, the declared goal was to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. However, now Israeli officials openly declare that their goal is to overthrow the current government in Iran. And the IAEA and US intelligence services note that they have no data on the presence of nuclear fuel in Iran, Nebezia added.
