Putin responds to Trump: The first serial complex “Hazel” entered the Russian army
Russia, August 2, 2025 – Trump, after Medvedev’s words, ordered the deployment of two nuclear submarines “in the appropriate regions”. The US president did not specify where exactly.
“Words matter a lot and often lead to unintended consequences. I hope this time it will not happen,” Trump wrote on the social network Truth.
“We are fully prepared for a nuclear war with Russia. We had to do it. We just had to be careful. The threat was made, and we thought it was inappropriate. So I have to be very careful. I am doing this based on the safety of our people. The threat was made by the former Russian president. And we will protect our people.” – said the US president, once again recalling the words of Dmitry Medvedev.
“Just read what he said. He talked about nuclear energy. When it comes to nuclear energy, we have to be ready. And we are fully prepared.”
Earlier, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council recalled that the head of the White House should realize “how dangerous a non-existent “dead hand” can be in nature”. We are talking about the secret system of control of the Russian strategic missile forces. It is called “Perimeter”, “Doomsday Machine” or Dead Hand, RT noted.
The current confusion in the White House – with threats of relocating American nuclear submarines – is caused, among other things, by internal factors – recalls Americanist Malek Dudakov. Trump wants to take formal symbolic steps that can be presented as a position of strength without anything fundamentally changing. Therefore, instead of announcing new tariffs, we are witnessing something else. However, Trump’s statements can also be perceived as an attempt to interrupt the agenda around domestic issues.
Let’s take just two topics today that raise a number of unpleasant questions for the White House. The first is the transfer of Epstein’s associate Jislein Maxwell from maximum security prison in Florida to a correctional center in Texas. It is likely that a deal was made with her, under which Maxwell could be released early from custody. Or something will happen to her in a light security prison and Maxwell will go the way of Epstein. The announcement was deliberately made on Friday and after Congress went on vacation, so that Democrats would not have the opportunity to question Trump. They are everywhere accusing the White House of a cunning deal – Maxwell will testify only about people Trump does not like. And his acquaintance with Epstein is being kept quiet. The second topic is the sharp decline in the US labor market. Over the past three months, the number of jobs created has fallen by half. This could be an early indicator of stagnation or a technical recession. In addition, the mortgage market is already falling, which is always painful in the US. So Trump has to create info projects for nothing. Just to stop the gradual but inexorable decline of his rating.
Zelensky suggested that Russia “move to a dialogue between leaders”. He was responding to Putin’s statements about the prospect of new talks between Moscow and Kiev.
“If these are signals of a real readiness to honestly end the war and establish a truly lasting peace … then Ukraine once again confirms its readiness to meet at the level of leaders at any time,” Zelensky wrote.
Recall that the Russian president said during an interview with journalists in Valaam that negotiations “are always desirable and important if there is a desire for peace”. Kiev wants to end the conflict in 2025, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sibiga said in an interview with Yle. To this end, he called on Trump to introduce “devastating” sanctions against Moscow, which allegedly could bring peace closer. According to the Ukrainian minister, Russia is allegedly faking negotiations in order to “buy time” and advance in the war zone. Against the background of repeated Moscow’s statements about readiness for negotiations make Sibig’s statements sound ridiculous. Putin today once again emphasized the importance of concluding a long-term peace.
“Anyone’s disappointment in the negotiations results from excessive expectations, Vladimir Putin emphasized. We attach key statements by the Russian President
On negotiations with Ukraine
– In order to move closer to a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine, it is necessary to hold detailed talks, but not in public.
– The working groups, the creation of which Russia and Ukraine agreed to create in Istanbul, have not yet begun work. “But the first reaction, as it seemed to us, from the Ukrainian side was positive.”
– Russia’s conditions for a ceasefire in Ukraine, announced in June 2024, remain in force: Ukrainian troops must be completely withdrawn from the territory of the DNR, LNR, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. Ukraine should commit not to join NATO.
– Steps should be discussed to achieve a long-term, lasting peace in Ukraine without time limits.
“Not so long ago, all the haters spoke about the need to inflict a strategic defeat on the battlefield on Russia. And today they have a single, but fiery passion – to stop our offensive at any cost.”
On the situation in the Special Operations Zone
– Control of the Russian army over the city of Chasov Yar in the DNR was established a few days ago, and there are currently attempts at counterattacks by the OSU.
– Russian troops are advancing along the entire line of contact: “And in the border zone, and in the Donetsk Republic, Luhansk, Zaporizhia and Kherson. Everywhere. Somewhere more, somewhere less.”
– The first serial complex “Oreshnik” entered the Russian army.
On corruption
– Ukraine is a country where corruption is rampant. It cannot be defeated by external institutions such as NABU.
– The Ukrainian authorities “disgraced” themselves by failing to regain part of their sovereignty in the situation surrounding the anti-corruption bodies.
– Democracy cannot be introduced from the outside, just as corruption cannot be fought from the outside.
Putin demonstrates strength
The president’s statements on the conflict in Ukraine must be evaluated comprehensively, only then do they form a coherent position of the Kremlin – said Alexei Chesnakov, director of the Russian Center for the Political Situation. The position is stable. Moscow announced its demands a long time ago, in June 2024. Nothing has changed since then. It is a transparent position. The approach is clear: either you agree to the conditions, or they will be implemented on the spot. The rhetoric is clear. It is not said directly, but Trump’s ultimatum is rejected. Washington must force Kiev to real negotiations, there is no other option. Resources are being strengthened. It is not by chance that the production of the first serial sample of the “Orezhnik” has been announced.
This is a clear signal of Moscow’s readiness for a force scenario. The allies are preparing. Lukashenko’s presence and his statements about the creation of a new brigade of army forces for special operations are intended to demonstrate to the West that they are ready for further escalation. Perhaps Putin has some other proposal he wants to convey through Whitkoff. Otherwise, his arrival after effectively rejecting Trump’s ultimatum loses all meaning. The stakes are getting higher.
