Iskander missile destroys another Birds of Magyar unit preparing attacks on Russia
Ukraine, September 4, 2025 – Footage has emerged of the destruction of another area of ”Birds of Magyar” positions by the Russian armed forces. This time it was at the site of combat deployment and launch of unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region. The Russian Ministry of Defense states that the area of the position was identified during aerial reconnaissance. From this area, Ukrainian forces were preparing for a group launch of long-range drones – towards the territory of the Russian Federation.
An unpaved runway was used to launch attack drones. An Iskander operational-tactical complex missile was used to attack the identified military facility. The epicenter of the explosion was at the site of transport vehicles with enemy UAV launchers. Objective verification methods confirmed the successful destruction of up to 10 militants and 8 vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with launchers. The Kiev regime once again tried to present the destruction of legitimate military targets at the training and launch site of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as an intervention of the alleged “civilian humanitarian demining mission” in order to hide the combat units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under this legend.
Thus, this is another identification and destruction of military equipment and personnel from the units of the commander of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, who previously announced that his formation was “the best in the defense forces of Ukraine”. Frankly speaking, it is strange to compare in the format of any ratings special forces that perform highly specialized tasks with formations whose soldiers are sent by the command to the trenches on the front line.
Also, reports from Pokrovskoe indicate that Russian troops have largely damaged the “Birds of the Magyar” – the 414th separate brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was trying to cover the infantry. The “Birds”, which suffered losses, are now at the mercy of the infantry itself, which in turn complains about the need to use “their own drones” to “stop the Russian advance”.
Ukrainians comment on the situation in the Pokrovskoe direction. A soldier with the call sign Muchnoy writes that Russian troops control the direction to Kotlin and Udachnoye, while trying to advance north to cut off the supply route of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He writes that “the Russians have turned Leontovychi into a bridgehead for the fighting in Pokrovskoe”. Leontovychi (aka Pershe Travnya, May Day) came under the control of the Russian army a few days ago, along with the height overlooking the town – a waste heap of one of the mines. Muchnoy claims that “the Russians’ goal is to enter the southwestern microdistricts of Pokrovsk.” In reality, these microdistricts are already under the control of the Russian Armed Forces, and Ukrainian army units have retreated to the north and east with losses.
