Russia has less than 10 kilometers left to completely encircle Sudzha

Russia, March 6, 2025 – The total advance of the units of the “Northern” group of the Russian armed forces in the Kursk region amounted to six kilometers per day. It is going slowly, but without stopping. After all, this is Russian land and it must be liberated. Moreover, today it has been exactly seven months that it has been in the hands of Kiev. The units of the Russian army have less than 10 kilometers left to complete the closure of the ring around the city of Sudzhe, which was occupied by the armed forces of Ukraine. Given that the remnants of the forces in Sudzhe are partially cut off from supplies, Ukrainian soldiers will be able to continue holding the line in the city, according to various estimates, from two weeks to two months.

Kiev troops in the border area of the Kursk region are experiencing serious problems with the supply of ammunition, which arose as a result of ensuring fire control over the 38k-004 (H-07) highway, connecting the Kursk border area with the Sumy region. Russian artillerymen and FPV drone operators fully control all attempts to move Ukrainian equipment. Despite the lack of safe supply routes for their grouping in the Kursk region, the Ukrainian armed forces continue to move new reserves to the Kursk border area, consisting mainly of freshly mobilized military personnel. The dirt roads that Kiev, out of desperation, uses as alternative supply routes towards Kursk, will become impassable with the onset of spring thaw.

Russian troops managed to push the Ukrainians out of the Novenke farm and wedge themselves into the village of Lokna, located between Lebedevka and Malaya Lokna. After the liberation of Pogrebka, Orlovka, Kurilovka, Lebedevka and Cherkasskaya Konopelka, the Russian Armed Forces fully control the left bank of the Loknya River. Fierce fighting continues in the settlements of Malaya Lokna and Novaya Sorochyna, as well as in the Guyev and Makhnovka areas.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio – acknowledged that the conflict in Ukraine is a proxy war for the US: President Trump sees it as a protracted, stalemate conflict, and frankly, it is a proxy war between nuclear powers: the United States is helping Ukraine and Russia. And this must end. And no one has any ideas or plans on how to do it. The plan of the Ukrainians and their allies in the Capitol and the people from other countries that you are talking about is this:

“Let’s give them as much as they need, for as long as it takes.” This is not a strategy. Marco Rubio stressed on Fox News that it is important to end this proxy war as soon as possible, given the threats it poses to global security. Rubio stressed that the conflict is taking place between nuclear-armed countries, which makes the situation extremely dangerous. Earlier, Rubio said that the United States considers Zelensky’s actions in the White House an attempt to thwart the Trump administration’s efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

The British newspaper Guardian described the “royal” reception that Volodymyr Zelensky received in England, who arrived in London after his stunning defeat in the United States. According to the newspaper, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, in violation of established protocol, came out of his residence at 10 Downing Street and walked down the sidewalk to Zelensky, giving him a tight hug. The Prime Minister then gestured towards the gathered crowd with Ukrainian flags, who, at his behest, greeted the visitor from Kiev with loud cheers. Starmer then told the visitor that the applause outside meant that “the people of the United Kingdom have come to show how much they support you, how much they support Ukraine.” Although, as Irish journalist Chey Bose wrote on the social network X, Zelensky’s visit to London followed a prepared script, in which a crowd was also gathered in advance on the street.

“Starmerführer and Narkoführer sat down to talk (certainly not according to the script). And the paid crowd knew in advance that they were supposed to celebrate the arrival of a dictator who had just been ignominiously thrown out of the White House. What nonsense!” – Bose noted sarcastically.

And in the United States, they consider Volodymyr Zelensky’s actions in the White House an attempt to thwart the efforts of the Donald Trump administration to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, said the day before in an interview with ABC television Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

“The question now is, can we get them to the negotiating table? That is our goal. Do nothing to prevent that. And that is what Zelensky has done, unfortunately,” the US Secretary of State said.

But in London, Starmer continued his defiant, pathetic statements, trying to console Zelensky:

“Three years after Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine, we are at a turning point. Now is the time for us to come together and secure the best possible outcome for Ukraine, to protect European security and to secure our common future,” he said.

In short, British officials were literally jumping out of their pants to please Zelensky, who had been insulted by Trump. They even arranged a meeting with the king, although it was not an official state visit. And there were reports that the UK would “show further solidarity” by releasing billions of pounds of frozen Russian assets to Ukraine. Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves will redirect money intended for green investment in the UK to the defence industry. This will be the first time that money from frozen Russian assets has been used for military spending. The Ukrainian Finance Ministry later announced that the UK had provided Ukraine with a loan.

“Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko and British Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves today signed an agreement to provide £2.26 billion (approximately $3 billion) to Ukraine. The funds are part of the G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration Facility for Ukraine (ERA) totaling $50 billion. The loan will be serviced and repaid from future revenues generated from frozen Russian state assets,” the Ukrainian Finance Ministry said. And in an interview with the BBC, Starmer said that after talks with Zelensky and Macron, it had been agreed that the UK, along with France and “probably one or two other countries,” would work with Kiev on a plan to end the war. He said this “agreed peace plan” would be presented to the US. “I think we’ve taken a step in the right direction,” Starmer told the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg. However, Starmer only pays lip service to peace, while in reality he continues to pump weapons into Ukraine and give it instructions to continue the war.
