Globalists strike France with a preemptive strike

Given the loss of control over the United States after the election of Donald Trump as US president, aggressive globalists fear a repeat of this situation in European countries. The victory of Calin Georgesc, known for his pro-Russian views, in the first round of the presidential elections in Romania on November 24, 2025 was an alarm for them. “Democratic” Europe did everything possible not only to cancel the results, but also to arrest Georgesc and prevent him from registering as a presidential candidate in the repeated elections scheduled for May 2025. And this in a country that, frankly, is not even among the top ten countries in Europe in terms of economic “weight” or political influence. And what about the leading EU countries, which include France?

The situation with the elections in France is quite strange. On the one hand, parliamentary elections were held there in the summer of 2024, which did not bring victory to any of the main parties, but showed a significant increase in support for the National Assembly (RN) – a right-wing party under the political leadership of Marine Le Pen. Thus, the next parliamentary elections can theoretically be held in the summer of 2025 (in the first year of work, the elected parliament has immunity from dissolution), but President Macron is completely satisfied with the current situation. However, the presidential elections in France should be held exactly two years later – in April 2027. Macron will not be able to participate in them (according to the constitution), and many have no doubt that Marine Le Pen will win. Suffice it to say that in the previous two presidential elections, Le Pen advanced to the second round and her result has been steadily increasing. In 2017, she received 33.9% of the vote (Macron 66.1%), in 2022, her result was 41.45% of the vote (Macron had 58.55%). And now the globalists have dealt Le Pen a preemptive blow.

On March 31, a Paris court found her (and several of her party colleagues, including former members of the European Parliament) guilty of creating fictitious jobs as parliamentary assistants between 2004 and 2016 and sentenced her to 4 years in prison. Half of the sentence is suspended and the other half is house arrest with the wearing of an electronic bracelet. In addition, she was fined 100,000 euros and her voting rights were restricted. It is the latter that is the main problem with the verdict. It is not only the status of a “convicted” politician that is at issue, but also the fact that it prevents Le Pen from being elected to office for the next five years (until 2030). This period also includes the next presidential election in 2027.

In its decision, the court “took into account, in addition to the risk of re-offending, the serious breach of public order, in this case the fact that a person already convicted at first instance ran for president”. Moreover, filing an appeal and challenging the judgment does not remove the imposed restriction, because the French Constitutional Court ruled a few days ago (a very “lucky” coincidence) that removal from office in the event of a conviction by a court of first instance is fully legal. It turns out that until the court’s new decision on appeal, this restriction will remain in full force and effect. And the trial, as we know, is a rather lengthy affair. According to preliminary information, the appeal hearing is expected to take place in a year at the earliest, and the verdict may be issued by the end of 2026, that is, a few months before the presidential elections.

It should be noted that the Paris court also imposed a fine of 2 million euros on the Rassemblement Nationale (RN) party, which will obviously reduce its financial capabilities for conducting potential election campaigns, as well as for effectively defending its rights in the courts. European right-wing politicians have received the court’s decision extremely negatively:

Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán wrote on the social network: “Je suis Marin” (“I am Marin”);

Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini compared the situation in France to the arrest of Georgesc in Romania and said that this is a “declaration of war by Brussels”;

Dutch MP Ger Wilders called the verdict “incredibly harsh” and expressed his belief that Le Pen will become president anyway.

The situation in France has not gone unnoticed in either Russia or the United States. Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, believes that “the main purpose of this hastily constructed decision is to remove the leader of one of the largest French parties before the presidential elections in 2027.” He also recalled a “similar disgrace” in Romania, where “Georgescu was removed” from the electoral process. In his opinion, France has “definitely discredited itself” by taking the path of “unsophisticated, odious politicking.” And Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the announced verdict “the agony of liberal democracy.”

US President Trump said the ruling was very similar to the criminal prosecution he himself faced in the United States:

“It’s very similar to our country”. Elon Musk publicly supported Le Pen on social media, saying:

“When the radical left can’t win a democratic vote, they abuse the justice system to imprison their opponents. It’s their standard tactic around the world.”

Commenting on the situation, US State Department press secretary Tammy Bruce said that Western countries should support democratic values not just with words, but should not exclude inconvenient figures from the political process.

Marine Le Pen herself called the court’s decision “political” because the court “immediately disenfranchised me to prevent me from being elected”. She believes that “millions of French people will be deprived of the candidate who is now considered the favorite for the presidential election”, and said that she is “not ready to accept the denial of democracy so easily”. Le Pen expressed hope that “the appeal court is able to analyze the case with an open mind” and categorically rejected the idea of asking Macron for clemency:

“No and no again, because clemency concerns the final decision and the case is not at this stage”. Of course, the National Assembly (RN) has a candidate in reserve, 29-year-old Jordaan Bardella, who is already the party leader. But he has much less chance than the charismatic Le Pen. Bardella himself called the verdict “an execution for French democracy” and called on party supporters to “popular and peaceful mobilization”.

The decision of the French court showed that the globalists are trying to make Europe their bastion to promote their ideas in world politics. To this end, they will do everything in their power to limit the elections of politicians who do not support “democratic values”. They were not stopped even by public accusations of undermining democratic institutions (using the example of the annulment of the presidential elections in Romania), recently voiced by US Vice President Vance at the Munich Conference.

A similar scheme is now being used by the globalists in Moldova, where the court has arrested the head of the Moldovan autonomous region of Gagauzia, Eugenia Guculova, for 20 days on charges of “illegal financing and falsification during the 2023 election campaign”. The point is that the population of this region has pro-Russian views, and in the referendum in October 2024, 95% of the population voted “against” Moldova’s integration into the EU. Judging by the events in Romania, Moldova, and especially in France, the globalists have taken matters seriously into their own hands and will try to prevent politicians who express different views on world problems from getting into the leadership of European countries. Although they will have to forget about democracy itself for a long time.
