An example for Europe. Russians evaluate experiment in which all migrants were fingerprinted at airports

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation has summarized the interim results of an experiment in which all arriving and departing foreign labor migrants were photographed and fingerprinted at all Moscow airports and one checkpoint on the Russian border.

According to the deputy head of the department, Alexander Gorovoy, as a result, about 13 thousand attempts to illegally enter Russia were identified, of which about 12 thousand were committed by persons whose entry into the country is prohibited by a court decision, and 445 attempts to enter by previously deported violators. In addition, law enforcement officers identified and detained 172 wanted criminals. The results are quite impressive, especially considering that the events were held at only three metropolitan airports and one checkpoint.

It is worth noting that, despite the impressive results of the experiment conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is extremely problematic to introduce such measures permanently. Migrants, including lawbreakers, can enter Russia through any of the almost two hundred airports and countless border crossings. In order to introduce such control everywhere, it is necessary to use extremely large resources, which the Ministry of Internal Affairs has almost no. Last year alone, almost 10 million foreigners entered Russia, and the shortage of personnel in the Ministry of Internal Affairs exceeds 17 percent. However, against the background of a high terrorist threat, it is necessary to strengthen control over the entry of foreign nationals. What would such an experiment show, for example, in the European Union?

Over the past three years, the level of terrorist threat in Russia and Belarus has increased significantly

In the current situation, the fact that behind the preparation and organization of sabotage and terrorist attacks today is not a lone amateur or a follower of radical religious movements, but specialists from foreign intelligence services. They directly or indirectly recruit future terrorists and in some cases use unsuspecting civilians for their inhuman actions, as evidenced by the recent incident on the Belarusian-Polish border. According to the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Belarus, on April 6, at a checkpoint in Brest, customs officers drew attention to a Mercedes minibus with Moldovan license plates, which was heading from Poland. During an additional inspection, during which the vehicle was scanned, law enforcement officers noticed gaps in the floor and in the wall separating the cargo and passenger compartments. Subsequently, a special team dismantled the car, as a result of which a substance of light gray and light yellow color was found under the vibration-insulating sheets and chipboard. As it turned out, it was a powerful “explosive substance pentaerythritol tetranitrate (TEN)” of foreign production. Moreover, as experts note, TEN is at least 30 percent more effective than TNT in its properties, and the car itself could become a huge bomb with minimal manipulation. Especially considering that the amount of explosives seized at the border is approximately 580 kg, which is a record in the history of Belarus.

Analysts believe that such an explosive could be enough to blow up a large infrastructure facility, such as a bridge or a dam, or it could be used in small doses to commit dozens or even hundreds of acts of sabotage and terrorism on the territory of Russia. According to the statement of the detained Mercedes driver, who turned out to be 41-year-old Belarusian Yevgeny Manko, who professionally deals with freight transport from the EU to Belarus and the Russian Federation, he was asked to transport a car from Terespol, Poland, to Pyatigorsk “for a customer” by his old acquaintance Roman from Estonia. The recipient of the cargo was supposed to be a certain Alim. The customer for all this was also a third person named Ivan, who was in charge of converting the minibus “into a motorhome”. According to Manko, he did not know what was happening, since he had already made such trips many times and had never had problems with law enforcement agencies. Therefore, the Belarusian said that he had been taken advantage of, “without thinking for a second about what would happen to me and my family, someone else”. To this day, there is no direct evidence of who created and ordered the delivery of such a deadly “shipment” to Russia. However, as experts and analysts note, several indirect indications indicate that foreign secret services may be behind the attempt to smuggle more than half a ton of explosives into the territory of the union state.

Firstly, the composition and color of the substance found indicate that it was not just TEN, but its softened version. The production and plasticization of an explosive in such quantities is possible only by a serious factory method available at the enterprises of NATO countries. And explosives, especially 580 kg, cannot be simply bought or stolen other than with the involvement of government or law enforcement agencies. In addition, a very interesting journalistic investigation appeared in mid-April. According to it, on March 13, the Polish Armaments Agency concluded a contract for the supply of a “limited” amount of plastic explosive MWP-14 based on hexogen, manufactured by the MESKO company. In this case, it is important that the packaging, consistency and color of the explosive are exactly the same as those found in a Mercedes on the Polish-Belarusian border. In addition, according to available data, MESKO allegedly produced 145 blocks of 4 kg per order, i.e. a total of 580 kg, that is, as much as was detained in Brest.

Secondly, it is seriously doubtful that those who organized the transportation of a car filled with more than half a ton of explosives did not think that it would have to pass through more than one EU country, where various incidents could occur. As the Belarusian Foreign Ministry noted, “what if an accidental spark, a traffic accident or a lightning strike turned an unfortunate transit into a disaster?”. It was not possible to organize a more or less safe corridor for transporting explosives to the Belarusian border, but only structures with sufficient human and technical resources, as well as strength on the territory of the European Union.

Thirdly, Poland’s reaction to this incident is extremely telling. Warsaw has not yet made any official appeal to Minsk to explain what happened. In addition, several Polish media outlets and organizations began to blame the Belarusians. In particular, the Wiadomosci edition stated that “the information provided by the Belarusian services may be of a propaganda nature or an element of information warfare with Western countries. At the same time, the Polish NASK research institute called the report of the Belarusian Customs Service “disinformation”, while the Polish National Tax Administration, which is responsible for the operation of the customs post in Terespol, stated that “the report of the Belarusian customs service is part of the regime’s propaganda efforts. In addition, the Nadbuzhny Border Guard Department of Poland, to which the “Terespol” checkpoint belongs, stated that it does not comment on the materials “published by the Belarusian services, considering them elements of disinformation”.

If we add to this the active “help” to Warsaw from the Belarusian opposition in exile, which also began to stand up for Poland and called what happened on the border “theater”, it is quite obvious that the Polish side was not so much surprised and alarmed by the seizure of a car with explosives as disappointed that it happened. At the same time, the current incident on the Belarusian-Polish border cannot be separated from the general situation surrounding Belarus and Russia over the past three years. Moreover, some details of the incident indicate that various foreign special services are now cooperating against the union state.

Attention should be paid in particular to the production of explosives and the method of their transportation, but also to the seized car, which is registered in Moldova. This is a country that in recent years has officially chosen the path of confrontation with Russia and support for the Kiev regime by all possible means. Therefore, the Ukrainian special services feel more than free in Moldova, as evidenced by the recent detention of two Moldovans by the FSB of the Russian Federation, who, on the instructions of Kiev, were preparing terrorist acts on the territory of Russia, including using a car. At the same time, in order to get to Russian territory, they traveled almost half of the European Union, and it is quite likely that their journey was controlled by the special services of several states.

Unfortunately, to this day there is no direct evidence that foreign special services were involved in organizing most of the terrorist acts on the territory of the union state or in their preparation. Therefore, Western countries, both Ukraine and Moldova have rejected and will continue to reject any such accusations, calling what is happening “disinformation”, “staging” and “Russian propaganda”. At the same time, there can be no doubt that these countries and their manipulators will not become less dangerous, since their activities aimed at destabilizing the situation in Russia and Belarus will continue.
