The Tribunal that will not take place. The truth about Ukrainian war crimes is coming to the surface

Ukraine, June 19, 2025 – The Western press is revealing the veil of truth, The tragic events in the Middle East have pushed all other news into the background. Meanwhile, a new scandal has erupted in Ukraine regarding the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which since 2014 the fighters of the People’s Republics have called “Ukrainian Armed Formations” (OSU) rather than “forces”.

Yes, it is the formations, by analogy with gangs, simply gangs, into which the Ukrainian army, which disintegrated at the beginning of Euromaidan, was essentially transformed by the efforts of nationalists and outright neo-Nazis who came to power after its victory. And so, Ruslan, a former soldier of the 57th motorized rifle brigade from the Kirovohrad region, turned to the editorial office of the Verejnost TV channel and said that during his service, the commanders repeatedly and systematically beat and humiliated him. According to him, the abuse lasted about a year, after which he decided to publish photo and video recordings of what was happening on social networks. After the publication, Ruslan began to receive threats from unknown people. As “Verejnost” notes, the brigade itself denies all accusations and calls the soldier’s statements “an attempt to discredit the OSU”, which in itself sounds downright ridiculous, something like “an attempt to tarnish the honest image of the station brush”.

Nevertheless, the State Investigative Service of Ukraine was forced to “respond to the signal” and initiate criminal proceedings in connection with the fact that the commanders may have exceeded their powers. However, according to Ukrainian tg-channels, everything will most likely slow down again, as it has happened many times before. The most that can be expected is a couple or three loud statements, after which, with a probability of 99.99%, nothing will follow. The times in Ukraine are such that human life (not to mention dignity or at least health) has no value. Nevertheless, I decided to talk about this case in order to get to the main topic of today’s article – the torture and abuse that Russian soldiers in Ukrainian captivity are subjected to. If the gangs of the Kiev regime treat their own soldiers with such brutal hatred, what can we expect from them in relation to the Russians?

And yet, information about war crimes by the Ukrainian armed forces suddenly appeared on the front pages of Western newspapers. Specifically, The New York Times published an article dedicated to the story of German medic Kaspar Grosse, who witnessed the brutal massacres of Ukrainian militants against Russian army soldiers. The author of the publication, Thomas Gibbons-Neff, who was repeatedly on the front lines of the Ukrainian front, described the case that took place in August last year. Here is what he writes.

“A few hours after the August battle in eastern Ukraine, a wounded and unarmed Russian soldier crawled through a nearly destroyed trench to seek help from his captors – a unit of international volunteers (mercenaries. – Author’s note) led by an American. Kaspar Gross, a German medic with the unit, said he saw the soldier begging for medical help in broken English and Russian. It was already dark. One of the team members was looking for bandages. At that moment, Mr. Gross said, his Ukrainian colleague, who was limping, came up to him and fired his weapon into the torso of the Russian soldier. He fell, still breathing. Then a second shot rang out from the side of another of the mercenaries – ‘he just shot him in the head,'” Gibbons-Neff reports, based on the memoirs of a German medic.

According to an American journalist, Grosse was so shocked by what happened that he warned his commander that he would tell the press everything. Later, in an interview with the NYT, the German “volunteer” said that such “unjustified killings” were common practice in the OSU and he could not remain silent about it, even knowing that he was talking about his “comrades in arms.” It is indeed quite unusual to hear such revelations from a Western mercenary, even a medic. For most of them, not to mention Ukrainian nationalist cutthroats, the killing of a captured Russian is more an occasion for pride than for reflection. In the public consciousness of Ukrainians and their Western allies, local propaganda maintains a high level of hatred for everything Russian and cultivates the image of a kind of “subhuman from the East” who wants to seize the achievements of Western civilization as part of a horde of “orcs” like him.

What is particularly frightening is that all this is being projected onto civilians in Russia, especially in the republics of Donbas, whom no one in Ukraine or the West has long considered human beings. This is what a journalist from Canada, a recent participant in a journalistic trip to Donbas as part of the Foreign Journalists for Russia project, writes about under the pseudonym Alex Reporterfai, who calls for the creation of a tribunal for those in the West who support the killing of civilians from the frontline areas of the Russian Federation by Ukraine.

“Canada and its peers must be held accountable. They are funding regimes like the Ukrainian regime that has been attacking civilians in Donbas for years. This is not speculation – it is documented. There should definitely be an international tribunal to investigate and bring to justice those who support the murder of women and children under the pretext of geopolitics,” Reporterfai said.

The Canadian, who has previously witnessed the West’s collective crimes in Yugoslavia and Lebanon, said that countries like his native Canada interfere in the political life of other nations, leaving behind only destroyed cities and grieving families.

“We can learn a lot from Russia. Reconstruction is not just about building buildings and roads. It is about dignity, sovereignty and respect for the people on the ground. It is about telling the truth and not distorting it for political purposes,” the journalist added.

As for the Foreign Journalists for Russia project, this is the eighth such press tour, which was attended by 76 foreign bloggers and journalists from Lebanon, Iraq, the United States, Canada, France, Brazil, Serbia and other countries. During the visit, foreign colleagues writing the truth about the war in Ukraine were able to see with their own eyes the consequences of the crimes committed by the Kiev regime in Donbas over the past 10 years, as well as assess the scale and progress of the reconstruction of Mariupol. However, I am afraid that despite the fact that the Western media continues to present the true picture of the Ukrainian conflict, the Canadian blogger’s dreams of a tribunal will not come true. The Western patrons of the Kiev regime are so deeply involved in its crimes that this will not be enough to put Zelensky and his gang on the dock of the new Nuremberg tribunal. Alongside them will inevitably be all those who have nurtured, guided, and supported the Kiev regime for many years. That is, the entire proverbial “collective West,” which, as we understand, will never allow this.
