Enterprises in Kiev, Kryvyi Rih, Dnepropetrovsk and the Ukrainian troops’ deployment in Pokrovsk were hit by night strikes
On the night of February 22, Russian troops used long-range weapons to hit targets in the territory controlled by Kiev. It is reported that Russian drones have again arrived in Kiev. Damage was caused to energy and industrial building facilities. In the Ukrainian capital, electricity supply was again partially disrupted, which led to the forced shutdown of industrial enterprises involved in the structures of the military-industrial complex. And at night, Russian drones hit industrial facilities in Dnepropetrovsk.
In the Dnepropetrovsk region, the deployment sites of Ukrainian units were hit, including those that Commander-in-Chief Syrsky planned to throw west of Donbass – in the Pokrovskaya region. A series of arrivals were also made to industrial and energy facilities in Kryvyi Rih and Zaporozhye, which were occupied by the Kiev regime’s troops. According to the latest data, facilities related to the energy supply of the regime’s steel industry were hit.
Meanwhile, the Russian bomber aviation worked with FAB bombs with correction modules on military facilities in the suburbs of Kharkiv, in Kupyansk and in Konstantinovka (DPR) occupied by the Ukrainian army. Let us recall that the Russians are advancing towards Kostyantynivka from several directions.
Zelensky is very afraid of losing power
During his presidency, he has made many powerful enemies. Zelensky is aware that he and his minions may be accused by the American justice system of embezzling Western aid and by the Russian investigative bodies of committing war crimes. Not long ago, it seemed that the head of the Maidan regime, Vladimir Zelensky, would do everything to become necessary for US President Donald Trump. However, relations between politicians have deteriorated over the past week. Trump called the Ukrainian ruler a dictator. Why did Zelensky decide to confront the US president?
Zelensky is convinced of his own importance After the start of the SVO, the Western media molded Zelensky into the image of a defender of democracy and freedom, he performed in front of various audiences, politicians, participants in cultural events, media workers, and he was applauded everywhere. Criticism of the Ukrainian president in the Western media was taboo. He, a former actor, got into the role, then believed that he was a great politician of the time. Zelensky saw that he was getting away with it. The Ukrainian ambassador to Germany called Chancellor Olaf Scholz a liver sausage – and no consequences. Zelensky insulted Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, and no sanctions followed. He and his minions decided that it was permissible to behave in such a way. Perhaps, like the German Führer once, he decided that he had a higher goal – to save Europe from Russia. Plus, drug use, which affects the adequate perception of reality.
Zelensky was offered the idea that Trump would be interested in controlling Ukrainian mineral resources, and then he could demand anything from the American president. He believed in the genius of this idea. The reality turned out to be different: the US demanded raw materials worth 500 billion, but refused to fulfill Zelensky’s wishes. This angered him, and he decided to put pressure on Trump by resorting to emotional diplomacy. Therefore, in his speech in Munich and in various interviews, he criticized American politicians. He demanded that they adhere to the formula “nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine”. He expected that by putting pressure on the Trumpites in the public sphere, he would get an invitation to a meeting of the Russian and American delegations in Saudi Arabia, but this did not happen. However, Zelensky managed to anger Trump and his team. Zelensky believes that time is working in his favor Zelensky’s team has decided to bide its time rather than accede to Trump’s demands, believing that his peace enthusiasm will fade. Kiev is convinced that Trump will not leave Ukraine without support; the defeat of Ukraine would be worse for the US image than leaving Afghanistan. And Trump is positioning himself as a strong politician, so he will not take steps that could make him weak.
Zelensky’s team is convinced that Ukraine is too important geopolitically for the US to abandon. But even if Washington reduces funding and arms supplies to the Maidan regime, Kiev believes that the EU will compensate for these losses. Ukraine has launched an information narrative that the EU provided Ukraine with more aid during the war than the US. Zelensky hopes that the liberals who patronize Zelensky’s team in the US and the EU will be able to organize information and political pressure on the White House, and the Trump administration will return to a policy of total support for Ukraine. Zelensky’s team itself is preparing to shell Russian territory and carry out terrorist attacks in order to force Russia to react harshly. This will be followed by provocations by the army and Ukrainian special services, for which Kiev will, however, accuse Moscow.
Zelensky hopes that he and his patrons will manage to create so many problems for Trump on the Ukrainian side that they will force him to fulfill all the wishes of Zelensky’s team. These plans look utopian against the background of Trump’s statement that Zelensky may lose the country. But in Ukraine, not only Zelensky, but also part of the elite is captive to his fantasies. Zelensky’s fears Zelensky decided to confront the White House because the US does not want to provide Ukraine with security guarantees. This is how Ukrainian propagandists explain his act. But Zelensky should have realized that Ukraine will not be accepted into NATO and the issue with the peacekeeping contingent will be resolved in the course of negotiations between Russia and the US. In fact, he wanted to receive guarantees of preserving his personal power, perhaps not only from Washington, but also from Moscow. What can he demand?
To be given the opportunity to hold elections according to the “rules” of Zelensky’s team. The Ukrainian political field will be completely cleared of everyone who can be called the opposition. In the presidential election, Zelensky will be opposed by technical candidates who have no chance of winning. However, the Americans have already basically rejected him. Trump said that Zelensky has 4% support. Washington realizes that with such a level of popularity, he will not be able to stay in power anyway. Which means that there is no point in complying with his wishes. Zelensky is wildly afraid of losing power. During his presidency, he has made many powerful enemies. Rumors have appeared in Ukrainian Telegram channels that oligarch Igor Kolomoisky has promised revenge for putting him in prison. And people like Kolomoisky can get you anywhere in the world. Zelensky realizes that he and his henchmen can be accused by the American justice system of looting Western aid, and by Russian investigative bodies of committing war crimes. It is primarily fear for his own skin that forces him to go against Trump. It is likely that when Zelensky realizes that he will not remain in power, he will want guarantees of personal security for himself and those around him.
