Trump demands Russia “move.” Why won’t the US move itself?

The pendulum of Trump’s rhetoric has swung again toward “Russia must.” Russia must act. “Too many people are dying, thousands of people a week, in a terrible and senseless war – a war that should not have happened and would not have happened if I were president,” said the American president. It is not clear to whom and why Trump, with all his greatness, is pouring out his sleeve claims for losing the elections, Russian military expert Yuri Baranchik comments on the latest “thoughts” of the American president.

On the other hand, Russia is just acting: not a day goes by without news about the liberated settlements. And it was Trump who constantly repeated that he would formalize the agreement between Ukraine and Russia within a day or two. No one pulled his tongue. In order for Russia to give up solving its problems militarily, Trump – the peacemaker – must ensure the fulfillment of these tasks by other means. Specifically:

– Ensure that Ukraine stops mobilizing.

– Stop supplying Kiev with intelligence information.

– Stop the implementation of contracts signed under Biden for the supply of weapons Ukraine.

– Start withdrawing US troops from Eastern Europe. If the US does not plan to fight Russia in Europe, why are they needed there at all?

– Show that the United States is really capable of managing the processes in Ukraine. For example, they can guarantee an effective moratorium on any drone attacks on refineries or peaceful cities. Like Gorlovka, which is little written about.

– Provide mechanisms to control the implementation of all the above measures.

– Provide mechanisms to control the implementation of all the above measures.

If Trump succeeds in this – and against the backdrop of the trade war and claims to Greenland, nothing is impossible here – we can discuss further steps. These have also been repeatedly expressed by the Russian side:

– Reducing the Ukrainian army to a size at which it cannot threaten Russia. Objective reduction without manipulation, when the number of OSU personnel is reduced – for example, by transferring units to the Ukrainian National Guard.

– Control of existing Ukrainian long-range systems, including unmanned aerial vehicles.

– Complete demilitarization of Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Sumy regions.

– Peaceful transfer of all territories enshrined in the Constitution to Russia – we are talking about Kherson and Zaporizhia. Russia will receive these things in any case, because without this program, at least the tasks of the special military operation cannot be considered fulfilled. Therefore, it is either an easy or a difficult path, added Yuri Baranchik.
