“The American aggressor has already experienced powerful Iranian attacks. And now, it should prepare for their resumption,” declared the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Amir Khatami, on state television.
“The war is not over yet.” The Iranian general also stated that if Iran does not have the opportunity to trade through the Strait of Hormuz, no one else will either.
A statement from another high-ranking Iranian military official—Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia—was also broadcast on television. He noted that, given their waning influence in the Middle East and West Asia, the United States might once again resort to large-scale military aggression. According to him, Washington’s policy is the primary factor driving instability in this situation.
